Marvin C. English

Marvin C. English is a storyteller shaped by experience, reflection, and faith. Raised in the Midwest, he attended Huntington University before serving six years in the U.S. Army Security Agency. It was an experience that instilled discipline, perspective, and a deep appreciation for service.

Beyond military life, Marvin pursued arm wrestling with uncommon dedication, competing in three consecutive World Championships and finishing second to Mr. America, defeating numerous professional athletes along the way. His adventurous spirit also carried him to the remote lakes of Ontario, Canada, where fishing trips by pontoon plane became cherished memories shared with close friends.

Together with his wife, Barbara, Marvin has traveled extensively across the United States, drawing inspiration from the country’s landscapes, people, and quiet moments. They now reside in California’s San Joaquin Valley, perfectly situated between mountains and coast. An ideal setting for reflection and writing. These life experiences infuse Marvin’s books with authenticity, depth, and a deep sense of purpose.
